Two men and a woman were charged in connection with the robbery and shooting on A Street, Buffalo police reported Thursday.
Jamar Maye, 35, of Schulele Street, and James D. Griggs, 30, of Hastings Street, were charged with first-degree robbery and first-degree assault and accused of shooting an A Street man after forcing their way into his house about 11:20 p.m. Monday, police said.
Both allegedly were armed with loaded HiPoint 38-caliber pistols and shot the victim, who suffered injuries to his left arm as well as a broken leg, police said. The also allegedly stole more than $700 before fleeing.
The two men and a woman, Kimberly Moore, 41, of Monroe Street, were in a vehicle together when they were stopped on Hastings Street a short time after the robbery.
All three occupants were charged with third-degree criminal possession of a weapon because of the firearms found in the vehicle, police said. They added that Griggs and Maye also were charged with first-degree criminal use of a firearm and criminal possession of marijuana for the more than 25 grams of marijuana allegedly found in the front seat of the car where Griggs and Maye were sitting.
