The fall edition of Western New York’s Local Restaurant Week starts Monday, offering diners a chance to experience locally owned restaurants for little more than a double sawbuck.

Through Oct. 21, $20.12 will buy dinner for one or two people, depending on the place. The list ranges from some of the finest restaurants in Western New York to neighborhood pizzerias.

Comb through the offers, detailed at localrestaurantweek.com (click on “Restaurants”), and you probably will find an idea or two. There are about 150 restaurants on the list, and it could reach 200 by the launch date.

Make your reservations early, because the best deals fill up fast.

At Mike A’s at the Lafayette, 391 Washington St., that $20.12 will get you a seat in the lounge for a deluxe burger topped with foie gras. At the Buffalo Chophouse, 282 Franklin St., it will bring a seat in the dining room, an 8-ounce filet mignon, potato and broccoli.

At Adams Rib, 4517 Main St., Amherst, it will buy prime rib or other entrees, soup or salad, potato or vegetable, and a glass of wine.

At Coco, 888 Main St., it’s three courses. For instance: brandade fish cakes with rouille, scallops with roasted cauliflower risotto and grapefruit-shallot sauce, sfogliatelle with whipped cream, strawberries, and fig-balsamic glaze.

At Soho Burger Bar, 64 W. Chippewa, two can dine on burgers, one side, drinks and desserts. Or Pauly’s Pizza & Pasta, 9980 Main St., Clarence, will hand over two large cheese-and-one-topping pizzas.

Out in Genesee County, at the Indian Falls Log Cabin Restaurant, 1227 Gilmore Road, Corfu, it’ll get you a full rack of baby back ribs, salad, potato, vegetable and coffee. The view of the waterfall, only feet away from the roadhouse’s parking lot, is free.
