Cattaraugus County authorities confiscated about 23 pounds of marijuana from a drying room in Randolph over the weekend, as they charged a 60-year-old man with felony criminal possession of marijuana.

The Cattaraugus County sheriff’s office, working with the U.S. Forest Service, also charged James P. Leach, with unlicensed growing of cannabis, according to police reports.

The discovery of the marijuana was made Saturday evening after a search warrant was obtained for Leach’s home on Hotchkiss Road, sheriff’s officials said.
