For the second time in recent weeks, several college students living in a University District neighborhood were arrested on drug-related charges.
The latest arrests on West Northrup Place, announced Saturday, involved five 19-year-old University at Buffalo students, according to Michael J. DeGeorge, a police department spokesman. Two weekends ago, four UB business majors were among seven people accused of operating a major drug ring at 51 W. Northrup.
Tuesday’s arrests were made when police executed a search warrant at 86 W. Northrup, and came after the students accepted a controlled delivery of illegal drugs. Agents from Immigration and Customs Enforcement and U.S. Postal Service inspectors assisted Buffalo police in their investigation.
Arrested on multiple drug-related charges were: Cameron Hom, John Marchant, Jared Eder, Ethan Mirenberg and Michael Daley. Their hometowns weren’t disclosed.
Police said they seized cocaine, marijuana, pills and other illegal drugs. Three guns and almost $800 in cash also was confiscated.
