A federal grand jury has indicted a Williamsville man who was taken into custody in August after federal and local law enforcement officials found homemade explosives and chemicals in his apartment.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Joel L. Violanti said Duncan Badding is charged with making and possessing destructive devices.
Badding, 26, was arrested after neighbors reported to police that he was acting oddly, including bouncing around his backyard on a pogo stick and shooting a .22-caliber rifle at bottles sitting atop a metal wash tub.
He was released from custody last month and ordered to remain in home confinement at his parent’s home in Lockport.
