An electronic waste recycling day for local homeowners will be held this weekend in the Town of Tonawanda.
The specialized recycling event, at which old electronics equipment will be accepted – including items that are sometimes hard to find a place to discard – will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at St. Amelia’s School, 2999 Eggert Road in the town.
Among the items accepted for recycling at the event will be: computers, printers, microwave ovens, fax machines, TV sets and phones, both cell and home types. The event is being put on by State Sen. Mark J. Grisanti’s office and SunnKing Electronic Recycling Inc. Information at www.sunnking.com.
