LOCKPORT – A Niagara Falls woman who accompanied her boyfriend to a confrontation with her ex-boyfriend was granted a one-year conditional discharge Thursday by Niagara County Judge Matthew J. Murphy III.
Rachel Martin, 25, of Portage Road, pleaded guilty last year to a felony, but that was later reduced to a misdemeanor, second-degree criminal trespass. Murphy said she must pay $280 in fees and restitution.
The couple were met by the ex-boyfriend’s landlord, who suffered a 3-inch gash in his cheek when Jay Smith, 23, slashed him with a box cutter Nov. 3, 2010. He is serving four years in prison.
