LOCKPORT – A Niagara Falls man pleaded guilty Wednesday in Niagara County Court to burglarizing a Lockport home April 22.
Samual E. Neal, 24, of Buffalo Avenue, admitted to a reduced charge of attempted second-degree burglary and was assigned to the judicial diversion program of court-supervised drug treatment by County Judge Matthew J. Murphy III.
If Neal succeeds in the program, his charge will be reduced to a misdemeanor with a probation sentence, but if he fails, he faces up to seven years in prison.
Neal stole hydrocodone pills and $10 to $15 in change from a home on South Transit Street, Assistant District Attorney Theresa L. Prezioso said.
