A Tonawanda man who was pulled over on the Thruway in Cheektowaga in January for speeding and arrested with a blood-alcohol content level of 0.25 percent was sentenced to 30 days in jail in Cheektowaga Town Court Tuesday by Judge Paul S. Piotrowski.
Christopher J. Smith, 33, of Claremont Avenue, was pulled over on Jan. 28th by state police for driving 96 mph in a 55-mph zone. He was given a breath test which showed his BAC was more than three times the legal limit. His license was also revoked at the time.
In addition to the jail sentence, Smith was placed on three years probation.
