Two Buffalo women were charged with setting a fire that started at 73 Wood Ave. and spread to 75 Wood just before midnight Monday in the city's Walden-Bailey area.
Sandra Rivera, 50, and Kateland Truitt, 18, were charged with first-degree arson, criminal mischief and reckless endangerment, Buffalo police said.
The fire began in a vacant building at 73 Wood Ave. and spread to the house next door, where police and firefighters helped residents to safety.
No injuries were reported.
