HANOVER - Handmade wampum belts will be on display at a talk about the belts and their history that will be held in Hanover on Oct. 27.
The lecture will begin at 2 p.m. in Hanover Town Hall, 68 Hanover St. It is free to the public. The event will feature the work of Rich Hamell, a Rush resident who has studied wampum belts and their history and who has made more than 75 of his own. Some of those belts will be on display at the event.
