A man and a woman were arrested on Grand Island Wednesday night after they were found in possession of about five pounds of marijuana, authorities announced.
Investigators said that Brandon Burgin, 32, with addresses in Buffalo and Phoenix, Ariz., had packages of marijuana delivered to the residence of Monet Jolly, 29, of Grand Island.
Authorities executed a search warrant at Jolly's home in Stony Point where they found drugs inside a backpack.
Both Burgin and Jolly were charged with felony counts of second-degree criminal possession of marijuana and arraigned in Grand Island town court.
Burgin was held in lieu of $10,000 cash bail and Jolly was released on her own recognizance.
The bust came following a joint investigation by the State Police Community Narcotics Enforcement Team and the Grand Island Police Department.
