SILVER CREEK - Several appointments were approved during a meeting of the Silver Creek Central School Board on Wednesday.
The resignation of Monica Johengen as elementary school bus supervisor was accepted, and she was appointed as a summer intramural swim coach, retroactive to July through August.
Paul Abate and Jamie Francisco were appointed to an additional assignment in technology education.
Jennifer Kilcoyne was appointed a French teacher and Kathleen McCabe, a family and consumer science teacher.
The following were appointed substitutes for the 2012-13 school year:
Jennifer League, substitute teacher; Tammy Shomper, substitute teacher, teaching assistant, aide and office worker; Laura Harford, substitute teacher, assistant aide and office; Sally Egan, teacher; Paul Crino, teacher; Kathryn Turvey, teacher and assistant; and Stephanie Lycett, teacher and assistant.
The board also OK'd plans for Melonie Schmidt to accommodate an additional hour of lunch coverage.
Colleen Smith was appointed to a probationary position as a bus driver.
Elizabeth Kowal was appointed to a probationary position as a lunch monitor.
The following were appointed as tutors for home instruction: Caitlin Kane, Tom Buczkowski, Bridget Case, Josh Czekanski, Samantha Graf, Jennifer Zbytek and Peter Brennan.
Emily Harford and Irene Klemens were appointed as fitness room attendants. Brian Fairweather, Cody Hehir and Nicholas Mohawk were appointed as volunteer coaches.
Beth Miller, Mark Baldelli and Lynne Gowan were appointed as sexual harassment officers.
The board also approved an agreement with the Dunkirk City School District for the sharing of the varsity girls swimming program.
