The Visiting Nursing Association of Western New York has kicked off its annual immunization campaign seeking to protect the community from influenza and pneumonia. Professional nurses will administer the shots at more than 600 clinics across Western New York. The fee for the flu immunization (for ages 9 and older) is $30, FluMist (ages 9 to 49 who are not pregnant) is $40, and the pneumonia shot is $60. Most major insurance plans are accepted. Individuals are responsible to the VNA for any charges not covered by insurance. A parent or guardian must accompany those under age 18.
