The Erie County Legislature's Health and Human Services Committee on Monday unanimously authorized the Erie County Department of Social Services to enter or amend contracts to expand nonresidential services to domestic violence victims.
At its Monday session, the committee authorized County Executive Mark C. Poloncarz to provide $58,033 to Child and Family Services, Crisis Services, Hispanics United and the Family Justice Center to expand their nonresidential services to domestic violence victims.
The funds come from a federal Temporary Assistance to Needy Families grant, and no local funds are being increased.
