An Amherst man who admitted to stealing more than $82,000 in sales tax collected at his used car business will be disbarred from practicing law, according to the Erie County District Attorney's Office.
Daniel M. Glaser, 53, pleaded guilty to third-degree grand larceny and second-degree possession of a forged instrument.
He faces up to 14 years is prison when sentenced Jan. 15 by Erie County Judge Kenneth F. Case.
Glaser admitted to stealing the sales tax between June 2006 and February 2011 at his business, Motorsport Buffalo Inc., the District Attorney's Office announced.
As a result of the plea, Glaser is automatically disbarred, according to the office.
Glaser was admitted as a lawyer in New York in 1986.
