A fire in a seventh-floor apartment at Buffalo's Perry Projects drove several residents from the high rise early this morning. No injuries were reported.
Firefighters were dispatched to 279 Perry St., apartment 7B, at 4:10 a.m. on a report of a bedroom fire, according to a fire dispatcher.
Damage was estimated at $50,000 to the structure and $10,000 to the contents. The Red Cross was called to assist one adult, the dispatcher said.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
Firefighters today also fought a fire at a vacant house at 373 Woodlawn Ave.
