NORTH TONAWANDA - A 6-year-old boy suffered apparent head injuries when he was struck by his father's van as he was backing out of a driveway about 4:30 p.m. today on Stenzil Street in North Tonawanda, police reported.

The boy was taken to Women and Children's Hospital for treatment; his condition was not immediately available. North Tonawanda police did not release the name of the boy or his father. No charges have been filed. The incident remains under investigation.
