ATTICA - An Attica man has been charged with drunken driving with a young child in his car after being stopped for failing to keep right and moving lanes unsafely.
Zachary A. Pope, 46, of Jackson Street, was stopped at about 9:37 p.m. Wednesday at Main and Prospect streets.
Pope, who failed field sobriety tests, was charged with felony aggravated driving while intoxicated, the so-called Leandra's Law. After being arraigned in Attica Village Court, he was sent to the Wyoming County Jail in lieu of $5,000 bail. He faces court hearings Nov. 5.
