LOCKPORT - A Town of Lockport man pleaded guilty Friday to burglarizing a store and was assigned to mental health court for a supervised treatment program.
David B. Tomporowski, 32, of Bowmiller Road, admitted to a reduced charge of attempted third-degree burglary, but Niagara County Judge Sara Sheldon Farkas said he could have that charged reduced to a misdemeanor if he succeeds in treatment. He also must pay $550 restitution, which he said he could do within two months.
Tomporowski smashed a window at the Kenyon's Variety store on Robinson Road about 4 a.m. Feb. 15. Police said he stole an 18-pack of beer and four packs of cigarettes
