A West Seneca woman was arrested Wednesday night for allegedly driving while intoxicated after she was seen driving in the wrong direction in a Beaver Island State Park traffic circle, Erie County sheriff's officials said.

About 9:20 p.m., the U.S. Border Patrol alerted the sheriff's office that a vehicle was going the wrong way in the park's traffic circle.

Deputies stopped the vehicle and Michele A., Clifford, 54, of West Seneca, was arrested on a DWI charge. She refused a breath test and was released on appearance tickets, officials said.
