NIAGARA FALLS - Three woman are accused of ganging up on a woman and beating her, then nearly striking the victim's friend as they fled the scene in a 1997 Ford Expedition, city police said.

Police said they were called to the 1900 block of Falls Street just after 3:30 a.m. Tuesday, and after a short search located the vehicle and charged the driver, Wanda J. Kraft, 24, of 24th Street with third-degree assault, reckless endangerment and felony attempted second-degree assault.

Kraft's passengers - Barbara B. Schreiner, 20, of North Avenue, and Samantha J. Klein, 24, of Seventh Avenue - were both charged with third-degree assault.

Police reported finding the victim cut, bruised and bleeding. They also said they found evidence that Kraft drove over a curb and onto the grass near where a friend of the victim was standing.
