LOCKPORT - A Wilson man admitted in Niagara County Court Thursday that he sexually abused a 5-year-old girl in Cambria between October 2011 and the following spring.
Thomas E. McGrew Jr., 17, of Maple Road, faces up to four years in state prison when he is sentenced Nov. 29 by Judge Sara Sheldon Farkas. He also will have to register as a sex offender.
McGrew pleaded guilty to a reduced charge of attempted second-degree course of sexual conduct against a child, a felony defined as having sexual contact more than twice over a period of at least three months.
McGrew is being held in the County Jail in lieu of $5,000 bail. Assistant Public Defender Michael E. Benedict said if McGrew makes bail, the 10th-grader will not return to Wilson High School, which he had been attending.
