Noco has expanded its operations in Canada with the acquisition of about 7,000 heating and transportation fuel customers in eastern Ontario, the Town of Tonawanda-based energy company said Thursday.
As part of the expansion, the company has opened offices in Trenton, Ottawa and Pembroke, Ont., and Noco also acquired Dunbar Fuels, a family-run fuel and lubricants distribution business that operates in the Ottawa Valley.
The acquisition of the customers from Imperial Oil establishes Noco as the exclusive Esso-branded reseller in an area that includes more than 200 communities and 2 million residents.
The deals "add customers and critical mass" to Noco's operations in eastern Ontario, said Scott Ernst, the company's director of business development. "It expands our presence in a growing market where we can provide customers with a higher level of service."
