LOCKPORT - A Niagara Falls man admitted in Niagara County Court Monday that he stabbed two men and will now face sentencing for two counts of second-degree assault.
Derrick L. Hall, 44, of Welch Avenue agreed to plead guilty to two counts of second-degree assault that will lead to concurrent sentences of two to seven years in state prison and 1 1/2 to three years post release supervision. Hall could have faced 14 years in prison. Sentencing was set for Nov. 27.
Hall told Niagara County Court Judge Sara Sheldon Farkas that he had injured the two men with a sharp object and caused injury as a result of the attack Aug. 28, 2011. Both men victims told police the attack occurred after they had come outside when they heard someone breaking into cars.
