Erie Community College racked up four volleyball wins on Saturday in Region III pod play at Niagara County Community College.
With the four wins, ECC coach Craig Starzynski reached the 100-career win mark.
The 100-win mark came in the third match, a three-set sweep of Columbia-Greene CC. He added his 101st victory later in the day with a four-set win over Fulton-Montgomery CC. The Kats also defeated Hudson Valley and Adirondack CC.
Sophomore Rylie Bean (Frontier) had 47 digs, 41 kills and 15 aces over the four matches while classmate Katie Russi (Frontier) added 52 kills. Freshman Jen Freeman (Depew) set the offense with 115 assists.
Meanwhile, Canisius and Niagara opened Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference play on the road with the Golden Griffins earning a four-game win against Marist while the Purple Eagles lost to Siena.
In Poughkeepsie, Jessica Warner had 19 kills to help Canisius to a 25-23, 25-14, 22-25, 25-19 win. Emily Elek added 13 kills for the Griffs (1-0, 4-7), Allyson Severyn had 17 digs and Sydney Palka had 28 assists.
In Loudonville, Siena earned the 25-17, 21-25, 27-25, 25-13 win. Kari Honomich had 10 kills and 12 digs for Niagara (0-1, 3-7). Michelle James added 34 assists while Allison Reis had 20 digs.

Medaille, meanwhile, hopes to rebound from its first loss of the season when it faces host Thiel in the Tomcat Invitational.
