A 21-year-old Collins motorcyclist was arrested Saturday night after a foot chase for driving while intoxicated after Erie County sheriff's deputies attempted to stop him for allegedly driving without a headlight or helmet.
Trevor D. Gernatt was apprehended at about 10:30 p.m. after he fled on foot into the woods at North Division Street and Brown Road in the Town of Collins, sheriff's deputies reported.
Charged against him included felony DWI because of two prior convictions within 10 years, felony unlicensed operation of a vehicle, resisting arrest, and multiple traffic violations.
He was transported to the Erie County Holding Center to await arraignment.
