NIAGARA FALLS - It didn't take long for a thief to cash in on credit cards stolen from the car of a LaSalle woman Sunday morning.
Police said that the woman discovered about 9:30 a.m. that her car had been entered while parked overnight in her driveway. When she tried to cancel the credit cards, she learned that one had already been used numerous times.
The thief began using the card about 6:30 a.m. and made purchases over the next hour, including almost $340 worth at a Walmart, said police, who added that a set of keys and a cellphone also were stolen from the unlocked car. Police said they are examining Walmart security videos.
