A Boston man is being held in lieu of $50,000 bail on attempted robbery charges after State Police said he was walking to rob either the 7-Eleven convenience store of the Evans National Bank branch Thursday.
Shawn Krawczyk was arrested on Boston State Road as he was walking toward both possible burglary targets after the State Police Boston Barracks received a tip about his plans. Troopers reported finding on Krawczyk a written note demanding money that he allegedly planned to give to a store clerk or a bank teller.
Under questioning, police said Krawczyk admitted he was going to rob one of the businesses but was still undecided on his likely target when taken into custody. He is being held at the Erie County Holding Center pending further proceedings in Boston Town Court.
Troopers said anyone with questions about the case can call SP Boston at 941-9300.
