A Buffalo man has been sentenced to 21 months in jail on a federal drug-related charge by U.S. District Judge Richard J. Arcara, U.S. Attorney William J. Hochul Jr. announced Thursday.
Wardell Epps, 42, earlier was convicted of using a communication facility to facilitate a narcotics felony. Epps, who was arrested with 19 others in the break-up of a cocaine distribution network between Buffalo and Houston, was caught on a wiretap discussing and arranging a drug transaction with a co-defendant, officials said.
To date, 18 of the 20 people arrested in the case have been convicted.
