Josh Kielich scored a power play goal late in the third period to give the Buffalo Junior Sabres a 6-5 win over the Burlington Cougars at the Northtown Center.
Ryan Schmelzer and Tim Kielich gave the Junior Sabres a 2-1 first-period lead.
Burlington scored twice in the second to take a 3-2 lead and went up 4-2 early in the third. Buffalo scored three straight from Alex Dagnal, Tyler Gjurich and Josh Kielich for a 5-4 lead. Burlington tied the game midway through the third before Kielch scored the game-winner at 17:53.
Buffalo (2-0) hosts St. Michael's Buzzers at 7:30 Monday at the Northtown Center.
