Albion sex offender charged with rape
ALBION - An Albion man listed on the state sex offender registry was arrested last week for allegedly raping a 14-year-old girl on multiple occasions, state policed said.
Scott D. Stanley, 33, was charged with one count of second-degree rape and two counts of third-degree rape in the Town of Pembroke and one count of second-degree rape and one count of second-degree criminal sexual act in Albion.
Authorities said all of the incidents involved the 14-year-old girl.The arrest was made following a three-month investigation.
Stanley has been on the sex offender registry as a Level 3 offender since 2005. His previous conviction was handled by Illinois State Police and involved a computer and child pornography. No other details were available on the registry website.
Stanley was arraigned in Pembroke Town Court and remanded to the Genesee County Jail in lieu of $25,000 cash bail or $100,000 bond. He also was arraigned in Ridgeway Town Court for the Albion-related offenses. The judge ordered an additional $20,000 cash bail, or $40,000 bond.
