LOCKPORT - The Niagara County Drug Task Force charged two people with possession and sale of cocaine after raiding an apartment on Elmwood Avenue on Wednesday morning.
Kimberly L. Hamilton, 38 and Ulford G. Jenkins, 41, both of the Elmwood Avenue address, were charged each with two felony counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and were arraigned in City Court before Judge William Watson.
Jenkins, who had recently been paroled on a drug-related charge, was remanded to Niagara County Jail without bail and Hamilton was jailed in lieu of $1,000 bail.
Niagara County Drug Task Force investigators acting on a warrant raided the apartment at 6:25 a.m. and found 20 grams of crack cocaine, 10 grams of powered cocaine and scales and packaging materials, authorities said.
"They had been selling drugs out of their house," Niagara County Sheriff's Drug Task Force Chief Mark W. Driess said of the one-month investigation, led by Investigators William Evans and Michael Leggett.
