For the second time in about a week, East Aurora police Wednesday morning foiled an attempt to break into the Larwood Pharmacy, 594 Oakwood Ave., and steal drugs.
Jacob W. Walker, 31, of Glenwood was charged with attempted burglary, criminal possession of burglary tools and criminal mischief. He is being held in Erie County Holding Center
Police captured the suspect receiving the report of a man on the roof of the pharmacy. Walker, who had cut into the roof in an attempt to access the drugstore, jumped from the roof but was quickly arrested, police said.
East Aurora Detective Rick Daminski noted that it was just a week ago when Sean P. Kelly, 37, of Cheektowaga, was arrested at the same pharmacy and charged with the same counts as Walker. Kelly, who also is also being held in Erie County Holding Center, is considered a possible suspect in other pharmacy break-ins in the county, police said.
