LOCKPORT - An employee at a Lockport Rite Aid was arrested Friday after an investigation revealed she had stolen about 1,300 Hydrocodone pills from the pharmacy over a five-month period, State Police said.
Security at Rite Aid contacted State Police after an internal probe uncovered evidence that an employee had stolen money using voided transaction and altered transactions.
Police believe the employee, Jeannine M. Lapaglia, 45, of Lockport stole the pills and gave them to another person while keeping the stolen money for herself.
Lapaglia was arraigned before Town of Lockport Judge Raymond Schilling and was remanded to Niagara County Jail on $1,000 cash bail.
