HARTLAND - Three teens were charged with burglary after a Niagara County sheriff'a deputy saw tracks in the grass coming from the Becker Farms orchard.
Brandon Lee Rutherford, 17; Rebecca M. Schaner, 19; and a 16 year-old male; were charged with third-degree burglary, petit larceny and criminal mischief.
Niagara County Sheriff James R. Voutour said late last week that the three were charged after Deputy Roger Schreader, who was on his way to an intrusion alarm at Becker Farms, saw three people along the side of Quaker Road and stopped to investigate.
The three were transported to the Niagara County Sheriff's Department and charged after being interviewed.
Bail was set at $2,000 for Rutherford and the 16-year-old boy and $10,000 for Schaner in Hartland Town Court. A return court date was set for Sept. 18.
