Saturday night's Zac Brown Band show at the Darien Lake Performing Arts Center is a sell-out. Which should surprise no one - the seven-piece band has a pair of platinum albums to its credit, and just shy of a dozen hit singles.
The ZBB's appeal can be posited as its ability to fuse a jammy feel with country, Southern rock and various shades of Americana in a compelling fashion. All of this has meant that the group stands outside the ring in terms of modern country music, having plowed its own little patch of land and raised its own flag claiming dominance over that land.
For those of you savvy enough to have scored tickets early, the show kicks off at 7 Saturday with fellow Georgia songwriter Levi Lowey handling the opening act duties.
