LOCKPORT - A Royalton teenager pleaded guilty in Niagara County Court Wednesday to a felony count of aggravated driving while intoxicated for violating Leandra's Law, which imposes extra penalties for drunk driving with passengers age 15 or younger.
Jacob T. Kleitz, 18, of Cottage Lane, could be sentenced to as long as 1 1/3 to four years in state prison when he returns before County Judge Sara Sheldon Farkas Nov. 14.
He was arrested March 25 in Newfane, when officers who stopped his vehicle found passengers ages 14 and 15 inside.
