First he tried to buy some french fries to munch on.
Then, after he was caught at Six Flags Darien Lake, he tried to eat something a little less appetizing - five counterfeit $50 bills, according to authorities.
Genesee County sheriff's officials said Larry J. Jones, 35, of Buffalo, was arrested Sunday night after being accused of trying to purchase some fries with a counterfeit $50 bill. The employee who spotted the fake bill called security, and authorities accused the man of having $1,200 in bogus 50s.
As Jones, a Hamlin Street resident, was taken in a security vehicle to the security trailer, sheriff's officials said, he put five other counterfeit $50 bills in his mouth and attempted to eat them. Security officers managed to retrieve the damaged bills before they were swallowed or destroyed.
Sheriff's officials charged Jones with criminal possession of a forged instrument and tampering with physical evidence, both felonies, according to the police report.
