Coach: Angelo Sciandra, 13th season
Outlook: The Hawks' best player might be Chari Wright, a three-year starter. Anthony DiFrancesco returns for his third year at QB and honed his skills this offseason at the Cross Training skills camp for QBs and WRs. Senior WR Pat Castile and junior WR Zach Glowicki are both coming off broken legs. The line is big question with only 6-1, 210-pound senior guard Keith Carter returning. He will be surrounded by four sophomores. In the secondary Castile will play one corner and Glowicki the other. Depth is an issue with 120 boys in the school.

RB/DB Alex Misterman ran a 4.4 5/4 0 at the Syracuse and Buffalo State camps. Jordan Zakroczemski (FB) and Jarrett Dolegala (WR) return. "Even though we graduated 16 guys to college football, I think we're going to surprise some people because everyone thinks we're going to be down and we have a real good core," said Smith.

Tremaine Shelton (6-7, 250) is a transfer from Buffalo Arts. "We're going to be big, for sure, and we've got three stud skill guys back in Nigel Davis, Ilo Noble and Rod Payne, so we're really excited about what's going to happen," said Gilbert.

Nickname: Lancers (4-5)
Coach: Dave Hersey, 3rd season
Outlook: The Lancers will be led up front by LT Andrew Hoffman and center Robert Desiderio. They will open holes for junior RB Nick Vallone, who's coming off a 1,300-yard season. "Nick will only be as good as his offensive line, so those kids up front will have to be the leaders," said Hersey. The Lancers are looking for big things from senior WR/LB Alex Horvatis, a three-year varsity player. Sophomore Justin Hersey gets the call at QB after a strong JV year. The Lancers are hoping FB Bryan O'Neill has made a full recovery from last year's broken ankle. Junior Nate Keith returns at LB. Justin Green is a two-way tackle who had a strong offseason.
