Outlook: McDuffie said he's really happy with the early progress of his offensive line, led by seniors Khalil Sommerville (6-foot-2, 270) and Fred Ross (6-2, 290). Senior Steve Curry is a speedster at RB/DB. JVs were 8-1 last year. Sean Wilson returns at TE. Junior Joel Dean made the most of his call-up for the playoffs last year and will get a chance to start at LB/FB. Center Willie Adams and Paul Dixon are other talented juniors.

Outlook: QB/S Luke Kramer is healthy after missing the first five weeks of last season with a broken clavicle. Look for Austin Bishop, a member of last spring's championship lacrosse team, to start at TB. The Bulldogs are strong up front with Wes Riley (6-1, 275), Jeremiah Bill (6-2, 280) and Kyle Brown (6-4, 280). Bill made a big impression at the Jim McNally camp. "They're tough kids too, They've got a little bit of an edge to them," said McFadden.

Outlook: The Chiefs return six on both sides of the ball including WR Nate Wilkinson (14.2 yards per catch). The right side of the O-line is back with center Matt Dolegowski, guard Lewis Kester and tackle Nick Nosbisch. The backfield returns QB Matt Keating, FB Mason Bonafede and RB Tyler Miller. This will be Miller's third year starting at LB. The Chiefs' most impressive offseason move was landing former Buffalo State coach Paul Shaffner as an assistant.

Outlook: RB/LB Nick Evans has made tremendous offseason strides, lowering his 40 time from 5.0 to 4.7, improving his bench to 275 and squat to 450. "It was unbelievable to see the difference," said Kowalski. Bruce Friedenberg returns at LT, Josh Mullett moves from center to guard and Andrew Mulvihill will play center after missing all of last season with an ACL tear. FB Dalton Moore has trimmed down and gotten faster. TB/WR/DB Nick Winters improved his football skills to go along with his speed and strength. G/DE Hunter Whitney is a raw talent who had a strong finish to last season.

Outlook: QB/LB junior Maurice Howie already has 2,500 all-purpose yards and 30 total TDs after starting as a freshmen and sophomore. LB Edgardo Berrios had a team-leading 88 tackles with 12 sacks and returned an INT for a TD vs. Amherst. TB LeRon Watkins is expected to have a breakout season. LB Mike Degrafensre is active and physical. Look for WR DeQuan Coleman to have more passes thrown in his direction. The Sparks' two top linemen are Christian Gillie and Jake Weber.

Coach: Jim Maurino, 10th season
Outlook: East boasts three three-year starters with Andy Smigiera, RB Scott Ackerman and FB/LB Ryan Johnson. All three are team captains. Smigiera is considered one of the area's top QBs. "Andy can throw, he can run, he's intelligent and he manages the game very well," said Maurino. "Football is just in his blood, it's what he does." Maurino said Johnson is a physical specism who runs well, tackles well, is an imposing hitter and brings intensity to the defense. Brandon Reilly is back at OT.

Outlook: LB Mitch Wagner is a three-year starter and will serve as a captain along with fellow seniors Matt Schulenberg and Sam Burgett. Hank Ransom will be counted on at TE/DE. "Mitch is a special player. He's a great young man and a great athlete. I can't say enough about Mitch," said McDuffie. Among the Flames' top juniors is Jaleel Battle at WR/LB. QB Alex DiBernardo started the last five games last year and looked good.

Outlook: Fifth team all-state and second team All-WNY QB Trent Ferguson returns. South has had back-to-back 9-1 seasons. Chaq Nettles, a transfer from South Park, will start at WR. Kurzanski is very high on OG/NT Greg Crane, a returning league all-star who will anchor both sides of the line. He's 6-2, 280 with a 305 bench. Sam Cohen, Casey Nuchereno and Anthony Liberatore are a formidable LB corps and will provide plenty of senior leadership.
