Outlook: A pair of league all-stars are back, OL Steven Strauss (6-5, 315), named to the team as a sophomore, and kicker Trevor Hadick (17 of 24 extra points). Joining Strauss as returning two-way linemen are Jon Tremley and Dylan Burkhardt. John Page and Tyler Hughson are a TB/FB combination for the Purple Eagles. Hughson, who had 59 tackles and three interceptions, will also be a key at LB, along with Ed Wolfe.

Outlook: Look for another big year from the two-time defending Class B champion Bulldogs, 20-2 over the past two seasons. Back is first team all-state DB Corey Barczyowski, who will also carry the ball. Sophomore QB Brian Stoldt will take the snaps. OL Jason Bunk is a 6-3, 271-pound junior who can bench 340 pounds. LB Domenic Brotz is one of six returnees on defense. Matt Shields returns at DB after a strong summer.

Outlook: The Raiders, who played in Section V last year, make their Section VI debut with 15 returnees. QB/FS Jacob Haight and RB/DB Brad Bobbitt fill up the skill positions while three linemen are back - Nick Bachman, Clayton Smith and Lukas Hawssen. On defense, Haight had 45 tackles and four interceptions. The defense will be keyed by LB Tucker Ruhlen and DB Travis Kelkenburg.

Outlook: The Wildcats graduated 930 pounds on their line with Jaden Cotton, Andrew Burgio and Zack Krieb. They reload with Mike Lamb (6-7, 315) and G/DT Robert Buono (6-0, 250). At the skill positions, Rodney Turner returns to the backfield. Brian Rybak has been pretty dynamic at flanker and Derrick Sekuterski is a sure-handed WR. Wilson said he's got a great deal of confidence in last year's JV QB Anthony Buono. JVs were 8-1.

Coach: Starling Bryant, 8th season
Outlook: Jevante Glover, an all-star RB last year as a sophomore, returns to the backfield at QB. Lending some size to the line is 6-0, 280 Myron Harden. Dejuan Quales is a top RB/LB. Quales had 900 rushing yards and Glover threw for approximately 400 and ran for 500. North Carolina transfer Demetrius Knoles will start at FB/LB. Julian Hodge is a speedy WR. "We're going to depend on Glover and Quales a lot. They're the core of our offense," said Bryant. "We're pretty fast, pretty quick, a couple new faces. We're expecting to do a lot better than we did last year."

Outlook: The Mustangs join forces with Lyndonville this season. Jake Cotriss will carry the workload at RB while Zach Newton is
coming off an all-star season at LB. Key returning two-way starters are WR/DB Dan Barnes, FB/LB Kyle Barna and TB/LB Ben Austin. Lending his versatility will be Derek Fuller, who will line up at DB/QB. Junior Dan Brown got called up in the middle of last season and played well at safety. Lonnie Taylor brings speed to the LB position and may get some carries at RB.

Outlook: The Panthers return a big offensive line led by Todd Capin (5-11, 285) and Seth Gregg (6-2, 205). The feature TB will be Connor Sears, who tied for the team lead in TDs with five and had 65 tackles. Junior QB Josh Kneeland will take the snaps. He finished last season on the varsity and threw for 447 yards. QB/WR Jake Bow has been hitting the weightroom hard. Miles Johnson and Bryan Gertz are two more players Nagel is excited about. Newfane has 42 kids out for football, up from 19 last year.
