The Alzheimer’s Association, WNY Chapter will present a free workshop titled “Know the 10 Signs: Early Detection Matters” from 10 a.m. to noon Monday at its chapter office, 2805 Wehrle Drive, Suite 6, Williamsville. The topics include a basic overview of Alzheimer’s disease, risk factors, getting a diagnosis, benefits of early detections, planning for the future and participating in clincial trials, and the difference between age-related memory loss and Alzheimer’s disease, and what to do if someone has signs of the disease. There will be a video of real people who are living with the early stages of dementia and their families addressing fears and myths associated with Alzheimer’s disease.
