Osbourne shows off some style

Kelly Osbourne was a reality star, actress and musician before anyone took notice that she had a knack for style.
But lately the 27-year-old daughter of Ozzy Osbourne, currently with violet hair after stints of pink, lilac and gray, has earned the title of certified fashionista, dishing the designer dirt with Joan Rivers and co-hosts Giuliana Rancic and George Kotsiopoulos after major Hollywood red carpets on E! “Fashion Police.” She also sat front row with Rivers at the Badgley Mischka show during the New York Fashion Week this past February.
“I’m in the process of branding, doing my own line. I will not just attach my name to something,” Osbourne said. “I want to be a part of every aspect of it. I want to do everything on it and even down to like making sure I know where the clothes or items are being manufactured.”
Now she’s being tapped to kick off fashion-fueled events too, like this month’s Magnificent Mile Shopping Festival along Chicago’s Michigan Avenue.

‘Katie’ gets ready for debut

Katie Couric says a guest on her upcoming talk show will be Aimee Copeland, the Georgia woman who survived a rare flesh-eating disease.
Copeland, a 24-year-old grad student, will be interviewed on Couric’s new show, “Katie,” airing Sept. 11. The show announced Tuesday that with the help of her prosthetics, Copeland will walk onto the stage. Copeland contracted the infection in May after falling from a zip line and gashing her leg. Doctors had to amputate both hands, her left leg and right foot. She returned home last week after three months in the hospital and a clinic.
Airing weekdays, the syndicated “Katie” premieres Sept. 10; guests will include Jessica Simpson and Sheryl Crow.

Aguilera feeling a ‘rebirth’

Christina Aguilera is comparing her upcoming album to a “rebirth.”
With more than a decade in the music business behind her, the album will be a culmination of “everything I’ve experienced up until this point,” the 31-year-old pop star said in a recent interview.
“I’ve been through a lot since the release of my last album, being on (‘The Voice’), having had a divorce,” she said. “This is all sort of a free rebirth for me.”
Aguilera and Jordan Bratman were married for five years before she filed for divorce in 2010. They have a 4-year-old son, Max.
Her new album’s first single, “Your Body,” was produced by Max Martin, who also produced Aguilera’s last hit, the Maroon 5 smash “Moves Like Jagger,” where she was featured.
The new album, which is without a release date or announced title, will feature fellow “Voice” coach Cee Lo Green and comes two years after Aguilera’s lackluster “Bionic,” which has sold 310,000 units, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
Adam Levine, Maroon 5 frontman and a “Voice” coach, told Aguilera at a recent news conference for the show that he’d heard “Your Body” and added, “I hate you because it’s so good.”
Aguilera will perform the song on NBC’s “The Voice” on Sept. 17.
