Amid rumors that he is on the short list to become the next "American Idol" judge, and hot on the heels of the announcement that he and Carrie Underwood will co-host this year's CMA Awards ceremony, Brad Paisley is spending his summer doing what he does best -- playing guitar.
Paisley's Virtual Reality Tour -- which also includes sets from the rapidly rising sibling outfit the Band Perry, and former "Idol" contestant Scotty McCreery -- has been barnstorming across the country for several months, and isn't poised to quit until the fall.
As ever, Paisley's shows are half country feel-good anthems, half stellar display of guitar virtuosity. This will surely be the case tonight, as Paisley perform at the Darien Lake Performing Arts Center.
A second stage will feature bands beginning at 5 p.m. The main stage action kicks off at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $44.50 to $64.50 reserved, $29.50 lawn (LiveNation.com).
