Following last year's highly successful and artistically inspired tour celebrating the 35th anniversary of his "Frampton Comes Alive" album, revered guitarist and songwriter Peter Frampton is taking things a little easier this summer. He's booked a tour dubbed "6 Days in August: Grin and Bear It," the road jaunt's title offering a nod toward Frampton's tendency for self-deprecating humor.
Happily, one of those six dates belongs to Western New York -- Frampton and his band will return to Artpark -- the setting of past glories -- at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, as part of that venue's Tuesdays in the Park series. Our own Mick Hayes Band opens.
Tickets are $5 advance, $10 if you buy them Sunday or later (box office, Tickets.com). Priority tickets (standing room in the "pit" in front of the stage) are $25.
