Buffalo's art culture is on fire tonight, with openings and events running the gamut from high-brow to low. If elbow-rubbing with Buffalo's art world glitterati is your thing, head over to the Larkin Center of Commerce (701 Exchange St.) for the Echo Art Fair VIP preview party starting at 6 p.m.

If that's not your cup of tea, Allentown's got you covered. The neighborhood will be teeming with gallerygoers for its popular monthly gallery walk, which also gets going at 6 p.m. and runs until about 9 p.m. Here's what's happening in Allentown-area galleries tonight:

Neil Mahar presents his exhibition "Dysmorphic Haiku & Mythology Re-assembled" in the C.G. Jung Center (408 Franklin St.); El Buen Amigo (114 Elmwood Ave.) hosts the opening of its photo exhibition "Nuestro Mundo Maya: Youthful Glimpses of the Guatemalan Highlands"; Elmwood and Tupper Gallery (332 South Elmwood Ave.) hosts an exhibition of acrylic paintings by Katia Zhukova; SP@CE 224 (224 Allen St.) will have live graffiti, performances by Bill Sack and a show of artwork by Thomas Holt; Starlight Studio and Gallery (340 Delaware Ave.) shows work by whimsical local artist Kurt Treeby; and Quaker Bonnet presents photographs by Kelly E. Schultz. Also, Peter Fowler shows new sculptures at Kepa 3 (31 Barker St.) and Indigo (74 Allen St.) hosts the group show "Summer in the City."
