Time to get your jam on, folks. Saturday's Buffalo Place Rocks the Harbor double-billing finds moe., our own jam-band ambassadors, coming home for a party at the harbor.
Moe. will be joined by Conspirator, one of the most viscerally exciting bands in the modern jam-tronica movement. Conspirator -- featuring Aron Magner and Marc Brownstein of the Disco Biscuits, as well as former Raq guitarist Chris Michetti and Pendulum drummer KJ Sawka -- has been building its Buffalo following brick-by-brick through repeat performances. This group's blend of danceable, mantra-like rhythmic figures and jaw-dropping instrumental virtuosity is a thrill to behold and contrasts wonderfully with moe.'s eclectic, rootsy stylings.
Tickets are $10 advance, $20 day of the show. See www.buffaloplace.com.
Note also that Floodwood -- a moe. side project, featuring the band's Al Schnier and Vin Amico -- will bring its invigorating take on bluegrass to Duke's Bohemian Grove Bar on Saturday, after moe.'s 6 p.m. harbor performance.
