There's something to be said for sheer tenacity and persistance. Ontario's Tokyo Police Club have evinced both in the few short years since emerging as a force within the modern indie-rock movement. The group has toured relentlessly, and spent its off-tour months writing new songs and holing up in the recording studio. All of this near-constant activity has made the band an uber-tight live unit, but more significantly, the quartet has become a much more incisive songwriting and record-making ensemble.

Later this summer, Tokyo Police Club will team with Foster the People for a twin bill that is sure to be one of the year's most buzz-worthy, at least in the world of modern alt-rock. Luckily for us, prior to that tour's commencement, TPC arrives this week for a free show at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday as part of the Coors Light Wednesdays @ Artpark series. Buffalo's the Tins will open the show.
