As part of Buffalo Citybration, Frank Lloyd Wright's Fontana Boathouse will host several local authors, artists and architecture buffs this weekend for a cross-cultural exhibition and fundraiser organizers have dubbed "Artists, Authors and the Architect."
The exhibition, which runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, will feature a juried show of 30 works by members of the Buffalo Society of Artists as well as a selection of work by local photographers. Authors Patrick Mahoney, Jan Sheridan, Mark Donnelly, Christa Glennie Seychew and others will also be on hand throughout the weekend to sign and sell books on local subject matter.
For the event, according to a release, the veranda at the nearby West Side Rowing Club will be turned into an "English-style tea room" featuring live music, food and drink. Tickets are $10, or $75 for a reception with artists and authors at 6 p.m. Saturday. For more information, call 362-3140 or visit www.wrightsboathouse.org.
